Men's world of beauty

Nowadays, people continuously fight for equality, understood in a number of meanings. People are becoming more tolerant towards somebody's individuality than before. Lines between genders are blurred now; we avoid to say that something is reserved for women or men only. One such thing is makeup, which finally is not gender-inclusive and is not a taboo subject these days.

Thanks to the Internet, a lot of male beauty influencers can express themselves on social media. The interesting thing is that the most popular makeup channel today is owned by a man! His name is Jeffree Star. His channel has nearly 17 million subscribers (November 2019) and his videos were viewed 2 005 467 622 times. But being an Internet "beauty guru" is not Jeffree's only job - he is also a successful businessman, who has his own brand, which is famous around the whole world. Jeffree Star Cosmetics have their own unique style - they are colorful and really connected to their creator's personality. Jeffree wanted his brand to be available to everybody - so the formula of his cosmetics is vegan and cruelty-free.
Jeffree had opened himself in one video and said that when he was young, makeup was his escape from the real world and it was the only way he could express his personality. Beauty became his biggest passion. Also, Jeffree's first job was a MAC consultant.
I think that Jeffree Star is a perfect example of how one can achieve success by their own work.

Another example of a male beauty influencer is Patrick Starrr, who is a YouTuber, cosmetics creator, and a drag queen. In one video he said that everyday he gets questions about his gender and it makes him feel distressed. He says that he is a "man who wears makeup" and it does not make him less masculine.
On his YouTube channel, he presents lots of looks that require a lot of creativity and skills. For example, he shows how to "turn into" Beyonce.
James Charles is another world-famous beauty influencer. In 2016, when he was only 17 years old, he became the first man who appeared on CoverGirl.
James is the creator of a very successful Instagram account and YouTube channel. His amount of subscribers reaches 16,3 million (November 2019), which makes him one of the most popular beauty influencers in the world.
One of James' successes is his collab with Morphe Brushes - he is an author of one of the eyeshadow pallets. "Unleash your inner artist" is the name of his product.
The picture below comes from the photoshoot of James' premiere of his own cosmetics.
On James' channel, we can find a lot of creative makeup tutorials. I think that the name of the palette fits his style and personality really well.

But the reason behind wearing makeup is not just to express yourself. Thanks to cosmetics, a lot of people can become more confident about their bodies.
We can easily cover up our imperfections, like acne or skin discoloration and bring out our good sides, for instance, the colour of our eyes.
I think that the fact that men are appearing in campaigns of makeup brands is a huge change in the world in general. A few years ago it would have been something abnormal,  while nowadays we can find men models in photoshoots of trademarks like Fenty Beauty, NYX, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Kat Von D Beauty, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Milk Cosmetics.
In my opinion, gigantic changes in the world are coming and are stirring people in the right direction - equality and tolerance. I think that makeup should not be reserved exclusively for women.
Patrick Starrr, who is mentioned in my presentation, said that "Makeup is one size - it fits us all". I totally agree with him.

What do you think about this phenomenon? Are you skeptical or enthusiastic? I'd love to discuss this with you!

Single-sex education

A little bit of history Single-sex education was traditional and dominating form of education till 19th century. Almost all schools and universities were single sex, which in almost all cases meant – men’s schools. This situation started to change because of two reasons: emancipation of women (fight for equality) and introduction of massive education. The first mixed-sex boarding school in UK was formed in 1818, it was Scottish Dollar Academy, and in 1878 the first university- University College London, allowed women  to enter on equal terms with men. What is interesting, the first Cambridge collage, which admit men and women was founded only on  1964. Pros and cons The topic of single-sex education is quite controversial. Like always there are pros and cons, some of them are quite irrational, other have a scientific background. The most popular arguments for single-sex education: 1. Boys and girls are learning in the different way, so they need different progr
THE MOST TRUSTED  PROFESSIONS Many people say that their job is important for our society, but is it a trustworthy profession? A market research institute asked people about trustworthy professions. Here you will find its results. The Top Five Most Trusted Professions 1. Firefighters A 2009 poll conducted by market research institute GfK found that firefighters ranked as the most trusted profession in Europe and the United States with 92 percent of respondents fining them trustworthy. Perhaps it’s all in the job description—being required to step into the face of danger every time you head out for an assignment is not just admirable, it’s downright heroic. 2. Teachers In the same GfK poll that lauded firefighters, teachers ranked second with 83 percent. It’s a good sign considering that the people responsible for crafting the minds of our children are deemed trustworthy. “I think every teacher recognizes that they are part of a trusted profession—that parents

Does money spoil people?

Does money spoil people? There is a saying that ‘money spoils people’, which means that people who become rich also start being rude and nasty. Is this true or not? I do not like categorize people, all stories are different. Probably everyone knows someone who is rich and nice person, and someone who is wealthy and horrible…What can determine behaviour of these people? copyright:http://theundercoverrecruiter.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/money.jpg 1 .     First of all how they got their money. Some people are rich because they won the lottery and some of them because they are genius who made a discovery of new, brilliant solution. There are also ones who are rich because they inherit all wealth from their ancestors… It is not a rule, but I think that people who work hard for everything what they have are more stable and realistic than ones, who don’t need to do anything because they got everything for free (without dedication or hard work). They won’t probably understand
