10 most visited cities in 2019.

'Where should I go for holiday?'. This is a common question when summer comes. Everyone has friends who tell them where they should go, which places are worth visiting etc. But, as they say - there is as many opinion as people, so I decided to present 10 most visited cities in 2019, according to Mastercard Global Destination index 2019 which is based on a number of international overnight visitors. I think that general ranking will be a great kind of "compass" of must haves to seen for your next holiday.


10. Antalya, Turkey - 12,41 mln visitors
      Antalya is a city in Turkey. It is the largest Turkish city on the Mediterranean coast bordered by Taurus Mountains. It is well known holiday resort in Turkish Riviera. The most popular building of Antalya is the Yivili Minaret; nowadays this is a landmark and also a symbol of the city. This is a perfect place for yacht owners and people who love to relax while lying on a beach.



9. Tokyo, Japan - 12,93 mln visitors

   Tokyo is a capital city of Japan, located on south-east Honsiu coast. This is the biggest metropolitan area and also one of the most modern cities (when it comes to its infrastructure and design) in the world. Places worth visiting there are e.g.: Imperial Palace with its beatufil 17th century parks, Ginza District which is Tokyo's busiest shopping area compared to Times square in NY, the Ueno Park and Zoo or the Tokyo Skytree.

8. Istanbul, Turkey - 13,4 mln visitors

   Istanbul is the largest Turkey city and the most populous one - this is its cultural, economic and historic centre, located on both sides of Bosphorus strait. It has a rich history - we can still visit stunning Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace or Sultanahmet Camii. It is a must seen for tourists not only because of its history but also because of breathtaking mosques and mosaics and modern buildings.



7. New York City - 13,6 mln visitors

   New York City, also called the Big Apple is the most populous city in the United States. It highly affects wolrd's business, economic, media, design, art and technology. What you must see when you come to NYC? The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Top of the Rock Observation Deck, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Empire state building and Times Square are just a few places which you visit when you are in NYC!


 6. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - 13,79 mln visitors

Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia. The city - counting with the suburbs - has about 7 milion citizens! A lot of sport events took place in there. Symbol of Kuala Lumpurs' development are twin skyscrapers called Petronas Towers.

What is worth seeing besides Petronas Towers? Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, Hutong - there is a really wide range of options!




5. Singapore - 14,67mln visitors
  Singapore is a city-state in southeast Asia. As people say, it is described as a "playground for the rich" and also a futuristic city. But the magic of Singapore doesn't come only from its modern view, as a paradise of wealth, but also from the unusual history.
Places thath should be seen by you when you visit Singapore can't be counted easily - Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown, or the Orchard road are absolutely vital for a singapore tourist.




4. Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 15,93 mln
Dubai is the capital of Dubai Emirate. The city is developing day by day - it is hard to see the sky without any crane - according to the experts about 30% cranes from the whole world work in Dubai. It quickly transformed from being a desert to a holiday hot spot.

3. London, England - 19,08 mln visitors
London is the capital city and in the same time the largest city of England. It is known well from amazing theaters, which are always busy. What you should definitely see when you come to London? Buckingham Palace,The Tower Bridge, The British Museum, Big Ben and Parliment, National Gallery - the list is really long!



2. Paris, France - 19,1 mln visitors 
Paris, the capital city of France is loved no matter the weather or season. It is located above the Seine, and is a cultural, economic and political centre of the country. It is not a coincidence that Paris is called "the city of love"  - seeing all those gardens, cafes and beautiful buildings, feeling the city atmosphere you can fall in love easily! The symbol of Paris is Eiffel Tower, but what should you see except from this monument? Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and there is a lot more to see.

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand. This is a mix of asian tradition and modern infrastructure. This is really hustle and bustle city. When you decide to go to Bangkok you should see the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Giant Swing, National Museum and Wang Na Palace - these places should definitely be on your destination list!

Does money spoil people? There is a saying that ‘money spoils people’, which means that people who become rich also start being rude and nasty. Is this true or not? I do not like categorize people, all stories are different.
