Technological advancements that will help us in our live

We live in an ever-changing world in time of technological advancement. Today we already beginning to see things that people only dreamed about or saw in a Sci-Fi movie. Here is the list of these inventions. See if you find something you already knew about.

1. Google Glass
I'm sure you already knew about it, but nonetheless it's still a step forward. Google, has built a pair of glasses that work as a real life HUD - giving you access to the internet and thus real-time information on things in your line of sight. Google searches and video recording are all available with a few spoken commands. Downside is that people are not ready for this change. Most people think that they will lock like idiots in those glasses and some are afraid for their privacy.

2. 3D printing
By now most of us already heard of 3D printers. Printers that can print nearly any size and shape 3D object from a virtual model. But they have come pretty far by now. On top of being able to print objects using plastic, glass and metal this machines are now capable to print fully edible food like mash potatoes or chocolate and even living cells. There is already developed self replicating 3D printer. Say hi to "The Matrix".

3. Self driving cars
The Google Self-Driving Car is a project by Google that involves developing technology for autonomous cars, mainly electric cars. Google are a bit hush on the specifics, but it seems that the car operates by using sensors to detect its surroundings and 360 cameras to map out direction. It is operated by a piece of software called 'Google Chauffeur'. Google's car has already done test runs around San Francisco and it completed over 300,000 autonomous driving miles with no problems.

4. Real live universal translator
It really does exist. The Sigma Voice Translator is a little device that you simply speak in to in one language and it repeats your sentence in another chosen language. It can translate your speech in to more than 25 different languages and is so advanced that it can actually translate what you meant, not just what you said. And apparently it's quite accurate with it translations which is actually pretty awesome.

5. Bionics
Bionics means a replacement or enchantment of organs or limbs by mechanical versions. Last year an amputee Denis Sorensen was given a bionic arm that allowed him to feel sensation of touch. The technology is still young and arm itself is robotic-like, but this revolutionary prostatic could change the lives of millions of people.

6. Powered armor
The main function of a powered exoskeleton is to assist the wearer by boosting their strength and endurance. They are commonly designed for military use, to help soldiers carry heavy loads both in and out of combat. In civilian areas, similar exoskeletons could be used to help firefighters and other rescue workers survive dangerous environments. The medical field is another prime area for exoskeleton technology, where it can be used for enhanced precision during surgery or as an assist to allow nurses to move heavy patients. Various problems remain to be solved, the most important is the creation of a compact power supply powerful enough to allow an exoskeleton to operate for extended periods without being plugged into external power.

  1. When I read news about such modern inventions I am terrified. I have seen The Terminator and Robocop many times and I am scared of what may happen if machines gain AI. Google Glass, nike self-lacing shoes or flying board are cool gadgets but powered armour in wrong hands may be extremely dangerous. Men would say that self-driving car is a perfect invention for women but I personaly love driving and I would prefer to control my car, not the opposit way.

Single-sex education

A little bit of history Single-sex education was traditional and dominating form of education till 19th century. Almost all schools and universities were single sex, which in almost all cases meant – men’s schools. This situation started to change because of two reasons: emancipation of women (fight for equality) and introduction of massive education. The first mixed-sex boarding school in UK was formed in 1818, it was Scottish Dollar Academy, and in 1878 the first university- University College London, allowed women  to enter on equal terms with men. What is interesting, the first Cambridge collage, which admit men and women was founded only on  1964. Pros and cons The topic of single-sex education is quite controversial. Like always there are pros and cons, some of them are quite irrational, other have a scientific background. The most popular arguments for single-sex education: 1. Boys and girls are learning in the different way, so they need different progr
THE MOST TRUSTED  PROFESSIONS Many people say that their job is important for our society, but is it a trustworthy profession? A market research institute asked people about trustworthy professions. Here you will find its results. The Top Five Most Trusted Professions 1. Firefighters A 2009 poll conducted by market research institute GfK found that firefighters ranked as the most trusted profession in Europe and the United States with 92 percent of respondents fining them trustworthy. Perhaps it’s all in the job description—being required to step into the face of danger every time you head out for an assignment is not just admirable, it’s downright heroic. 2. Teachers In the same GfK poll that lauded firefighters, teachers ranked second with 83 percent. It’s a good sign considering that the people responsible for crafting the minds of our children are deemed trustworthy. “I think every teacher recognizes that they are part of a trusted profession—that parents

Does money spoil people?

Does money spoil people? There is a saying that ‘money spoils people’, which means that people who become rich also start being rude and nasty. Is this true or not? I do not like categorize people, all stories are different. Probably everyone knows someone who is rich and nice person, and someone who is wealthy and horrible…What can determine behaviour of these people? copyright:http://theundercoverrecruiter.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/money.jpg 1 .     First of all how they got their money. Some people are rich because they won the lottery and some of them because they are genius who made a discovery of new, brilliant solution. There are also ones who are rich because they inherit all wealth from their ancestors… It is not a rule, but I think that people who work hard for everything what they have are more stable and realistic than ones, who don’t need to do anything because they got everything for free (without dedication or hard work). They won’t probably understand
