Self-development

Back in the days, when I've been graduating from primary school and i was becoming a student of high school, I was constantly hearing about how unreal and impossible is to look like celebrities from tv spots or billboards. But then i met people, people who have shown me that the truth is totally different, all these ancient statues of warriors are not just a figment of imagination, there were people who actually had those muscles shaped so well.
Of course our goal shouldn't be to look like one of these golden champions, but to be more agile and stronger than day before and believe me it is not that hard as you probably think, you just need a bit of the motivation.
For me the hardest part was to begin, after some time of exercises i realised that I don't think about this as of the harsh duty but a pleasure. Stories about endorphin are real, it gives you an extra boost during the day. Of course if it happens to you that you work out once a week the muscle sores will kill all the benefits so you need to do that regularly.
Exercising will not only make your muscles grow, it will also affect your self-confidence, health, not to mention your energy resourceses. In my opinion the best thing about exercising is that you can do develop yourself to the point when you can do things that you considered as impossible.
There are many motivation videos but this one is my favourite:

More and more people are becoming a gyms members, but i know that some of you are not necesserily big fans of that. You should keep in mind thath every kind of activity is good for you, u can start swimming, jogging cycling or whatever, just do it :D.

Question for you:
Do you work on your body? If yes -what kind of exercises do you do? If not - How do u think, what holds you back?

  1. I know I should do sports, because it brings me better mood, I will be probably healthier... and skinny :D But it's so hard to start! I definitely need some willpower to do this and I'm still looking for it. ;)
    Congrats to you!

  2. I try to exercise but there is not so much time to do that! I prefer to workout at home because I don't have to spend more time on going to the gym, but of course gym gives people a lot more motivation. Well, maybe I would think about exercises as a pleasure if I wasn't so tired after all day. Very nice presentation :) I'm going to look for my motivation.

  3. I totally agree with you about the point that the hardest thing is to begin. I used to train few sports disciplines (volleyball, swimming, yoga and more ;)) Some time ago I decided to challenge myself with fitness workout and now I train for about 40 min 5/6 times a week. It's a little bit time-consuming but it brings me a lot of energy and joy :) It also reduces the stress and helps to stay in a good condition. I do my workout at home. Motivation? For me, good plan is a half of success ;)

  4. I prepare my body for the rigors of skiing. To avoid injury and misery I take some time to prepare my body before a trip. I think the most important is strenght my body. I do my workout at home and I agree that the hardest thing is to begin.

  5. I also think that the hardest thing is to start practicing. My boyfriend helped me find the motivation. He exercises and eats healthily, so I started with him. We practice three times a week, different parts of the body, but apart from that we are skating, running, and in the winter we want to learn skiing. Thanks to him, I can't imagine life without physical activity. I recommend it to everyone.

  6. In my opinion the hardest thing about exercise is time. If people like me studying and working at the same time they have problem with priorities. Many times I have to choose between exercises and learning. Of course I try to do this two things but sometimes I have no power or I am too tired. However we should exercise at least two times a week.

  7. Yes! You're right. We should work on our body. When we are healthy and athletic, we have more energy for life, we are happy.. When I was younger I was practising karate. I was full of good energy, but when I quick, because of school.. I felt bad, I was missing sport. Now I started dance classes and after every class I'm really tired, but very happy. I feel better. Now I can do everything and this is amazing. Everybody should try it! This is true - it is not easy to start, but when you do it, you will know, that it was worth it.

  8. Very interesting presentation and contains a lot of wise observations.. Many people are looking for famous actors or athletes dream about a beautiful figure, a perfect body. However, please note that the actual appearance of famous people isn't as perfect as the pictures that they represent. We will never look like a famous actor or selected a beautiful fashion model. And why? Of course, not because it's a privilege to these types of people. The answer is simple: we see only what the media want us to show, what famous people want us show- beauty that is to a great extent arranged and inaccessible to anyone. This doesn't mean that we remain passive. Of course, we can always improve through regular exercises that enhance well-being, and also shape the figure. Let us remember only that does not resemble the well-known people, don't try to be like them, don't torture too exhaustive exercise or diets. Be yourself! I have half a year I went to the gym, then got into dance course. I believe that exercise is needed, because they improve mood and actually allow you to maintain the figure and form. But the pleasure to make only if we do it for ourselves and not in order to be as "they". :)

  9. I agree with the author of this presentation. If we want look good, we must insert into this some effort. Unfortunately, if we are just sitting in eating biscuits, while not doing sports will never have a dream figure. Exercises are too very important to our health and comfort. We are happy and proud when our figure takes such forms, which about we dreamed.

  10. I totally agree with your statement, that the hardest thing is to start, because I've experience it by myself. I have never done any sport so far, but last month I decided to change it and I started doing fitness! It was very hard for me, because my phisical condition was so poor and I had enormous sores next day. Nonethelles I decided to prove my boyfriend that I have strong willpower and now I practice everyday. I have never had problem with slim figure, but very nice for me is to hear that my body is more muscular than beforehand. An approbation of my boyfriend is good motivation for me. Moreover, I feel much better and healthier. The most important thing is to have a strong motivation. :)

  11. I used to play volleyball and swimming in the past but after my concussion I cannot do a lot of thing. Now, I try to swimming regularly or walking. But sometimes I donot have time or I donot have a strong enough motivation to do something. I thing that is true - the worst thing is to start working for a good look, the perfect body. But then is only easier :)

  12. I can say I work on my body. Too lazy to go to gym, so I train at home: I do push-ups, squats, burpees, etc. Sadly can't say I do it regularly, I'm prone to skip days of exercise because I just keep forgetting about them. :P

  13. I can't write anything new. I just totally agree with your opinions. The strong motivation is probably the most important thing. Of course I know and I've heard it a lot of times, that doing sports is very important for my health but till now I can't start to practise any sport regularly for more than one - two months. Fortunately I still must to participate in PE lessons and I commute by bike regularly.

  14. I think that everyone should practise for their own happiness. It's not about looking like a celebrity, but to stay healthy and in shape. I personality just hate gym and all group sports . But when i only have time i like to go on yoga. It's calming me down, arouse my muscles and make smile on my face :) Of course like you sad, beginnings are the hardest, but after 3 month i could see that my body much more flexible than it used to be :)

  15. I work on my body every year, I start in spring when the temperature is getting higher and my target is to look slim and fit on holidays. I have a very strong motivation and I don't eat fat food at all even when my friends put their burgers next to my nose. Insted of eating fat and lying on bed I run and go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week for 1,5 hour training. I keep that lifestyle till autumn and then I let myself eat almost everything because in winter we need more energy to keep right temperature of our bodies.

Single-sex education

A little bit of history Single-sex education was traditional and dominating form of education till 19th century. Almost all schools and universities were single sex, which in almost all cases meant – men’s schools. This situation started to change because of two reasons: emancipation of women (fight for equality) and introduction of massive education. The first mixed-sex boarding school in UK was formed in 1818, it was Scottish Dollar Academy, and in 1878 the first university- University College London, allowed women  to enter on equal terms with men. What is interesting, the first Cambridge collage, which admit men and women was founded only on  1964. Pros and cons The topic of single-sex education is quite controversial. Like always there are pros and cons, some of them are quite irrational, other have a scientific background. The most popular arguments for single-sex education: 1. Boys and girls are learning in the different way, so they need different progr
THE MOST TRUSTED  PROFESSIONS Many people say that their job is important for our society, but is it a trustworthy profession? A market research institute asked people about trustworthy professions. Here you will find its results. The Top Five Most Trusted Professions 1. Firefighters A 2009 poll conducted by market research institute GfK found that firefighters ranked as the most trusted profession in Europe and the United States with 92 percent of respondents fining them trustworthy. Perhaps it’s all in the job description—being required to step into the face of danger every time you head out for an assignment is not just admirable, it’s downright heroic. 2. Teachers In the same GfK poll that lauded firefighters, teachers ranked second with 83 percent. It’s a good sign considering that the people responsible for crafting the minds of our children are deemed trustworthy. “I think every teacher recognizes that they are part of a trusted profession—that parents

Does money spoil people?

Does money spoil people? There is a saying that ‘money spoils people’, which means that people who become rich also start being rude and nasty. Is this true or not? I do not like categorize people, all stories are different. Probably everyone knows someone who is rich and nice person, and someone who is wealthy and horrible…What can determine behaviour of these people? copyright:http://theundercoverrecruiter.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/money.jpg 1 .     First of all how they got their money. Some people are rich because they won the lottery and some of them because they are genius who made a discovery of new, brilliant solution. There are also ones who are rich because they inherit all wealth from their ancestors… It is not a rule, but I think that people who work hard for everything what they have are more stable and realistic than ones, who don’t need to do anything because they got everything for free (without dedication or hard work). They won’t probably understand
