Why is football our national sport?

Robert Lewandowski is changing a club. Borussia lost the final of Champions Ligue. Three Poles play in Borussia. Everybody know that. Polish media have written about it daily for 2 weeks. In the same time polish handball team Vive Targi Kielce plays in  Final Four ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012%E2%80%9313_EHF_Champions_League ) and only fans of handball know that. Why football is for Polish people more important than other sports? Instead our national volleyball or handball team is one of the best of the world? I want to present a few concepts. Robert Lewandowski - our 'national pride'   1. We look at the others. Many countries have very long traditions in football games.  In England    the first modern set of rules for the code were established in 1863.  England has also the world's oldest association football club ( Sheffield F.C. ), the oldest national governing body ( The Football Association ), the first  national team , the oldest national knockout

Cheating

When we hear about corruption, robbery or false papers , we think about cheating. But when we use a crib sheet, pay somebody compliments, download music form the I nternet- this is a normal situation. What exactly is cheating and why do we do this? We start to cheat cheating in our childhood. We learn that we should behave in a society, for example, be nice and polite for everybody, even if we don’t want it. Also an absolute sincerity is not a positive feature , because somebody, who always says what he or she wants, and what he or she thinks, can be considered to be a rude or a self- conceited person. On the other hand, we cheat for a security- say false information about our privacy, hide compromising facts or cheat for being admitted to a new community, be popular. We do this because of easy profits- to escape from a punishment or gain something free. Of course, we cheat because of a fact that people around us also do this, for example, download music, and because of gener

Sqatters, skates, skinheads, punks, hooligans, hippies, rastafarians,..–  these are examples of the names of typically young people, whose lifestyle and priorities are different form others: conformists, uninformed, and consuming “ordinary” people.  Usually they are considered as eccentrics, extremists or anarchists. Precise definition of subculture has not been formed. This notion was firstly formed at 40s among some social fields of science. Often it concerns one specific category inside the culture. It could be also used within the meaning of counterculture, which means the culture denying some principles and values of dominant culture and is in conflict with it. The oldest definition of this was formed by Milton Gordon in 1947 and it states that this is a subdivision of national culture, consisting of combination of social situation of components, like class status, ethnic origins, urban or rural settlement, religious identity, which forms some specific combined unity, rein

Styles and methods of learning

Styles and methods of learning We all know that learning is not a pleasant thing to do. That’s why we often look for the way which can make it easier for us to acquire knowledge. Everyone has a different method of learning. We can’t say which one is the best – every person is different and everyone prefers something else.   I would like to present you some methods of learning. Maybe you will find something for you :) Learning by heart Its purpose is to memorize messages or activities so that they can be repeated in an error-free way. The basis of this method is just repetition. In this method you can achieve the best results assuming an active attitude. Learning by understanding This method is the complete opposite of learning by heart. In this way, the most important thing is to understand the essence of the problem and to see the the links between the elements of the material. If you understand the issue, you don't need to memorize it. Learning by so
