Condition of printed and digital media

21st century is the time of digital media. Printed media, so popular in the 20th century, become less and less popular. Whereas everyone tends to point out the drawbacks of such state, let's think of positive aspects of digitalisation. Since the invention of the first digital computers, everything has changed. Not only in the world of media but you can notice the changes in every aspect of life. But here I would like to draw your attention to the media. Personal computers and smartphones make it possible to access, modify, store and share digital media by everyone. Is the era of the book over?

Is the era of the book over? In this era of information storming when almost you can get anything and everything with a finger touch (via Internet), debate on importance of books keeps itself alive. Are the books dead? Do we still need them?  Let's discuss.  The Internet may have battered book sales, but it hasn’t killed reading—far from it. Today we read more, and in more ways, than ever, and this is thanks to all the book-killing culprits. It doesn't mean that people read less. They do it just in different ways.  Let's take ebooks for example. Nowadays we can see those gadgets all over the city: public transport, coffeehouses, parks, streets, etc. The main benefit of it is mobility. For example your favourite book has more than 1000 pages and is so heavy that it is almost impossible to carry it with you. Ebooks to the rescue. You can have hundreds of all kind of books just in your pocket. Amazing, isn't it?  Another great thing about new era of informatio
Working during holidays.  Holidays are approaching. For many of us this is time for rest, relax, laziness, trips. This is time when one can soak up the hot sand all day or go to the mountains. Students participating in the program receive help to make the holiday employment in tourist towns across the United States. By participating in the program you can learn about the culture and lifestyle of Americans  as well as take a fascinating travel and visit places of your choice after work. You can also go abroad on your own. For example, a lot of s

People from all over the world come to see games and spend a lot of money in host-country. Unfortunately this time could be completely different. http://telegraph.co.uk/ Two weeks to first kick-off but there is so much to build and finish all works that everyone starts to wondering is this World Cup even take place. FIFA secretary general made it clear on a recent tour that it would not be ready "until the last minute". In the biggest stadium – Arena de São Paulo are stands still to be finished, access roads to be completed and lot of building work still to do. It’s not an isolated case – half of 12 stadiums missed the end of year deadline and there is still a possibility that the schedule of matches can change. Moreover eight workers have died in accidents during the building of Brazil

Democratic People's Republic of Korea

Most of us know little about North Korea. We rarely hear about it on television and if we do they usually show us new North Korean nuclear trial or absurd law that some people believe to be funny. We are not aware of what is going on there. There are many relations of refugees from the north but usually they are out of date. Three years ago we could rely on 4-5 years old stories but now we need new information. In December 2011 Kim Jong-il died, in April 2012 his son, Kim Jong-un, took over ruling party leadership, becoming First Secretary of the Workers Party. New leader always means some changes in both domestic and foreign policy. It is difficult to prefigure what Kim Jong-un’s leadership will carry. Kim Jong-un (Here you have short film about difficulties in getting photos of what Korean regime don't want us to see: http://edition.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/bestoftv/2014/05/21/banned-from-north-korea.cnn.html) 2013 KOREAN CRISIS - second year of Kim Jon
